Earlier today, Mr. Shane Jessup posted the image above on Twitter and if you look close enough it looks like box art for an 8" version of MSJ's Luck Cat Dunny from Series 4. Whether this is the "closed eyes" or "opened eyes " version is yet to be seen. Besides the leaked image, there are no concrete details on this Dunny available at this time, but I'll be sure to keep my eyes peeled and pass along any updates... Thanks for sharing this with us MSJ!!! www.mrshanejessup.blogspot.com
Here she is - the first of our super hot vinyl art toys for SDCC, MINDstyle’s 9″ Two-Faced Hazel from Kathie Olivas. This is a larger figure based off of the chase figure of the same name from Scavengers Series 1. The SDCC edition of Two-Faced Hazel will be released in San Diego for $99.99 and is limited to 200 pieces.
As always with MINDstyle, the figure is not the only beautiful part of the product as Hazel comes packaged in one of the finest boxes for collectibles on the market and a numbered collectors card. With Hazel being the most popular character from the highly successful Scavengers series, only 30 pieces will be available on each day of SDCC leading to Kathie’s signing on Saturday, July 25th at MINDstyle’s booth #4545 making it a collectible figure fans will not want to miss…
So here he is, "Spawn Dunny"! Magicsculpt resin epoxy, acrylic, on vinyl Dunny. Having owned a few spawn figures myself back in the day, I decided to go with a more hand brushed look on it. I always liked the dark washes the figures had and thought I could give it that action figure feel on the Dunny as well.
I'll be taking on a few custom commission requests for next month. If you have something cool in mind, or just want me to send you something I think is cool, feel free to contact me at Josh@fplusnever.com to secure a spot.

Upper Playground is proud to present the newest in a series of vinyl figures slated for release in 2009 – Dragon Boy designed by Sam Flores. Known for his signature characters and fusing them with Asian motifs, Flores’ Dragon Boy fuses his influences in this new groundbreaking figure. “I've been traveling [to]…a lot of places in Asia; I pick up a lot of things, styles and aesthetics. I'm infatuated with the beauty and architecture…the lines and attention to detail of everything.” (Interview with Modart).
Unlike most other vinyl figures, the Dragon Boy is made up of 3 pieces creating the illusion of the dragon floating through the clouds. The figure measures 10” tall and the head, midsection and tail feature extremely detailed gradient blends. Dragon Boy will come housed in a double-sided window box with a scenic insert card. Limited to 500 units, Dragon Boy is slated to release in early September but is available for presale on the Upper Playground web store.
In 2008, Juxtapoz Magazine and Upper Playground asked David Choe, Alex Pardee, Saber & Retna to paint their way across the United States. Traveling the country from Washington D.C. to the Bay Area with spray cans in their hands and cameras following, they bombed, brushed, and painted, leaving a swath of color and creativity in their wake. This short documentary piece, set to the music of Cutsoquick, captures the artists as they hit the streets collaborating on huge pieces and connecting with fans and admirers of their art from all walks of life. Watch the film on Walrus TV.
