The Nocturnal Show at Cardboard Spaceship opened last night, where both Kathie Olivas and Brandt Peters unveiled new breathe-taking solo and collaborative efforts. The artwork being showcased ranged from various paintings, prints, and vinyl figures in all sizes, all the way up to a collaborated 4 ft. Qee that was as big as it was amazing... Even with most pieces already sold through Cardboard Spaceship's preview list, the turnout was still great with fans of all ages lined up not only to get doodles and sketches but were also waiting for their opportunity to meet both artists. From what I've seen, Kathie and Brandt are really passionate about their work and are very good to their fans, as they signed and doodled on pretty much everything that was placed in front of them. Kudos to the Cardboard Spaceship crew as well; by far some of the best people in the retail business, not only did they host an outstanding show, but they made sure every customer was well taken care of... Thanks again Nick!!!

The secret colorway for the Munky King Exclusive "Koibito" was revealed last weekend at VTN. Since then a few hi-res pics of this colorway have popped up on various forums and websites. If you haven't seen it yet, then here it is. This colorway looks like a translucent smoke-grey of some sort. Either way it's a must have piece for many and the fact that it's limited to a run of only 150 makes it that much more desirable.
The first run of Koibito's including the MK Exclusive are set to drop on 12.11.08. If you want one make sure to line up real early this Thursday at Munky King.

Info posted by Jeremey Fish:
"The artwork in this show is my personal interpretation of some of San Francisco’s more colorful founding folklore. The goal for this show is to gain a better understanding of San Francisco’s formative heroes, and honor them in my drawings, paintings, and sculpture, as well as, finding parallels to the early days of San Francisco in today’s contemporary San Francisco, and the cyclical nature of this city and its ill behaviors."
