Brooklyn based artist KAWS takes a trip to the west coast for his first ever solo exhibition in Los Angeles called "The Long Way Home", which will be hosted by the Honor Fraser Gallery. The man himself will be in attendance for the opening reception where you can expect to find vintage KAWS pieces as well as new works in the form of mixed media art, 3D sculptures and even designer toys(life-size Chum anyone?). This show opens on 02.21.09(6-8 p.m.) and runs through 04.04.09. If you plan on attending the opening reception, I suggest you try and get there early because spacing will definitely be limited for this event. [more info]
