Born and raised in Los Angeles, the influence of the city surfaces in Kofie’s spiraling, mechanical structures, which often resemble abstracted cityscapes and industrial developments. Involved in street art as a teenager, his work began as traditional graffiti-inspired characters; over time, as he began breaking down those characters, they evolved into the massive, architectural paintings he’s now revered for. In addition to appearing on his Draftsmen clothing line and in numerous magazines, Kofie’s artwork has been displayed in exhibitions in major cities throughout Japan and the United States, including Tokyo, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Boston. Titled First Love, the short film features a Murakami character that plays matchmaker between the young Louis Vuitton designer and a girl.

Continuing his tradition of staging surprise installations in unexpected locations, the British artist Banksy has staged another surprise installation in an unexpected location, BBC News reported. His latest stealth project, which officially opens on Saturday, turned up in the City Museum and Art Gallery in Bristol, England, about 120 miles west of London. Though the museum is traditionally home to artwork and artifacts commemorating Bristol’s maritime history, Banksy filled it with animatronic exhibitions, paintings and a rusted ice cream van.

Artist Kaws recently collaborated with the hip-hop duo Clipse as he helped design the cover art for their single "Kinda Like A Big Deal." With a song title like that it's only right to have one of the best and most coveted artist in the business design your graphics. Collaborating with companies and individuals outside of the urban art culture is nothing new to Kaws as he's worked with the likes of Nike, Lance Armstrong, Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes and even Kanye West, who himself is a self proclaimed art enthusiast. As if he wasn't famous enough, Kaws' popularity continues to grow at an alarming rate so be on the lookout for many more projects like this. It's just be-Kaws!!!
